About the Project

Dedicated to Dr. Rick Hodes
The AEMD is dedicated to Rick Hodes, M.D., MACP, D.Sc., with gratitude for his unstinting generosity in sharing his medical practice and in appreciation of over two decades changing the lives of countless patients in Ethiopia.

Project Members

Roger Perreault
Roger Perreault graduated from Middlebury College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. He worked in the Jaffe laboratory at the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying the vasoprotective effects of mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists. He then studied alternatively activated macrophages during his Oak Ridge Institute Fellowship in Immunobiochemistry in Bethesda, MD.

Roger currently attends Tufts University School of Medicine.

Masresha Zenebe
Masresha Zenebe is a Biology/Mathematics graduate from Western Washington University. After working with a clinical research company and getting involved in some volunteer activities with a non-profit organization, he developed a keen interest in health care, clinical research, and health informatics. He cofounded a startup non-profit organization, Mela, with the vision of empowering the underprivileged by partnering with those that provide health care, education, and poverty relief services. Masresha is currently living in Seattle and loves the Pacific Northwest and all the outdoor activities it has to offer.
John Huston
John Huston is currently a student at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell studying Computer Science and Psychology. He is AEMD’s technical advisor and a graduate of the Community College of Baltimore County, with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Data Communications.

Software

The AEMD is written in CSS and strict XHTML 1.0 transitional. AEMD uses Apache, Fedora, mySQL, PHP, SoundManager2, and WordPress.
